Lock Stock and Squatters

Think you have it bad in the property market? well spare a thought for Guy Ritchie as Squatters have taken over his £6 million London mansion, using it as a 'free school' which teaches tarot and how to use public transport for free.

Around 12 people are occupying the Lock Stock director's Grade I-listed house, which Guy Ritchie had not yet moved into. Ritchie, who is the former husband of Madonna, had bought two neighbouring properties in the upmarket area of Fitzrovia in May 2010 and had commissioned workmen to convert them into one mansion.

The squatter gang, calling itself The Really Free School, was formerly occupying a building in Bloomsbury Square. As well as banners adorned with slogans like "strike", "resist" and "occupy", there is a note posted in the window of the property saying: "Legal warning. Take Notice ... that we live in this house, it is our home and we intend to stay here."

The squatters have refused to say when they will leave, Police were called in but said that there was nothing they could take action over.
